Every time you use the google search engine or any google technology, you help pay google and this allows them to use that money to try and control you.

And, sadly, there is a LOT that goes through ‘oogle’ that we/I don’t even know about. Try to avoid the obvious when you can. Sort of like internet explorer. I never use it but everytime I do a computer clean up, there’s stuff there.
