High ranking military officers usually never make good employees. They are too conditioned to giving orders that get carried out without any questions allowed. Kelly is certainly a prime example. Even though he had the title “chief-of-staff” he had to take orders from President Trump which he was not good at doing. Then he had to persuade and convince others to carry them out. Many times those others were political figures that needed a lot of persuading. He was ill equipped for the job, and he grew to hate it. He failed.
