Come to where I live, Baltimore, and see black people walking against traffic lights, in the middle of blocks, between parked cars, and especially from behind the buses they just vacated. Many animals have superior situational awareness when it comes to navigating streets with vehicular traffic. So it makes sense that self-driving cars would likely hit more black people because there are more black people crossing streets illegally. It must be in the DNA or a symptom of lead paint ingestion during infancy.
I drove through an area, long ago, on my way to work. I swear there were people TRYING to get hit by a car. There were always a few that just wandered on our into traffic.
I learned to watch people up on the curb. I was driving an SUV most of the time, too.
