Good point. Austin government is pushing hard the idea of driving a car is bad and one person to a car is evil. They are pushing hard the public transportation meme. Except one thing, they haven’t the infrastructure set up for it.

Redshawk,

The whole green thing is impossible to set up. California found that out with the train and their other “save all” theories. They have the fifth largest economy in the world, not the states, the world as of mid last year, and couldn’t supply the funds for their socialist schemes.

And the other side is still that if we cut back on the purchasing of petroleum from many countries, it will start conflicts without food, water, and other shortages as those countries won’t have anything to buy them with. Additionally, as we are the largest importer and exporter of oil in the world, it is going to cost jobs and our economy will “tank” with theirs. So we’ll end up back in a series of civil wars when we actually caused them, not on our soil. These idiots do not learn from history.
