On the underlying question moral question discussed here, nothing addresses it better than the simple logic of this quotation from Mother Teresa, who, at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC on February 3, 1994, as cited above, stated: "And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"

My first op-ed piece for our college newspaper, it was about abortion and how it was destroying the value of all human life's sanctity. And I used that quote by Mother Teresa

The paper was published on Thursday. By the end of the weekend five death threats had come in: the first in the paper's history.

The week after publication a girl came into my face and told me "You dirty pro-life fucking piece of shit."

Well, at least a few people read it. Not bad for first time out the gate!

No, not bad at all!

America's Founders and freedom lovers everywhere were/are not concerned about the judgments of their contemporaries, but of "the Supreme Judge of the world" (Declaration of Independence) and of their posterity in centuries to come.
