My response to Nadler would be to cite the Fourth Amendment:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, SHALL NOT BE VIOLATED, and no warrants shall issue, but upon PROBABLE CAUSE, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

There is no exemption for congressional committees, and I would think that preventing these kinds of politically-motivated fishing expeditions and witch hunts would be one of the central purposes of the amendment.

A countermeasure should be launched, immediately, to select 81 of the closest friends, family, and advisors of every one of the 500+ Senators and Congress members and hunt for otherwise non-existent crimes or misdemeanors. Send out 40,000 or so ‘demand letters’ to come back to the Senate for full investigations. Colonoscopies for everyone! Start with No-Nads Nadler.
