On March 1, 2019 there were 151 VACANT federal judgeships out of 890 authorized judgeships:
Yesterday there were 153 VACANT federal judgeships.
And today, there are 154 VACANT federal judgeships:

I don’t make these counts up. They’re from the official US Government website for US Federal Courts to which I provided hot links to substantiate the numbers.
We’re in the 3rd month of 2019 and the Republican controlled Senate has CONFIRMED A GRAND TOTAL OF TWO JUDGES. And to me that is unacceptable. They need to confirm judges at a rate FASTER than vacancies are occurring - fast enough to get the “current” vacancy count down to 40 - 50 and then keep it at that level or, better yet, even lower.
