Ocasio-Cortez, chief of staff illegally moved $885G in campaign contributions 'off the books,'

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Saikat Chakrabarti, the progressive firebrand's multimillionaire chief of staff, apparently violated campaign finance law by funneling nearly $1 million in contributions from political action committees Chakrabarti established to private companies that he also controlled, according to an explosive complaint filed Monday with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and obtained by Fox News. Amid the allegations, a former FEC commissioner late Monday suggested in an interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation that Ocasio-Cortez and her team could separately be facing major fines and potentially even jail time if they were knowingly and willfully violating the law by hiding their control of the Justice Democrats political action committee (PAC). Such an arrangement could have allowed Ocasio-Cortez's campaign to receive donations in excess of the normal limit, by pooling contributions to both the PAC and the campaign itself. The FEC complaint asserts that Chakrabarti established two PACs, the Brand New Congress PAC and Justice Democrats PAC, and then systematically transfered more than $885,000 in contributions received by those PACs to the Brand New Campaign LLC and the Brand New Congress LLC -- companies that, unlike PACs, are exempt from reporting all of their significant expenditures. The PACs claimed the payments were for "strategic consulting."

When the money keeps rolling out, you don’t keep books
You can tell you’ve done well by the happy, grateful looks
Accountants only slow things down, figures get in the way
Never been a lady loved as much as Eva Peron!

You mess with Pelosi and all of a sudden someone looks into your campaign finances.

The FEC complaint asserts that AOC's COS, Saikat Chakrabarti established two PACs that raised big bucks for AOC's campaign:
<><> the Brand New Congress PAC, and,
<><> Justice Democrats PAC.

Then Chakrabarti systematically transferred $885,000 Plus in contributions received by the PACs to his "private companies":
<><> the Brand New Campaign LLC, and,
<><> the Brand New Congress LLC.

ANALYSIS---notice the similarity in names. This is a well-known criminal scam in business.
Opening bank accounts in similar names to siphon off money from a business, or a partner, for oneself.

I’m sure the totally honest FBI already had her exoneration letter done months ago.

Uh, oh.

Occasional-Cortex has already made some enemies in her own party. She will not be allowed to commit the same crimes that more senior party members commit routinely. She will be treated nearly as badly as a conservative.

She’s in over her depth. Sooner or later she will crash and burn.

Ladies and Gentlemen. Please keep in mind AOC pissed off a lot of big players in the Democratic party and NYC in general for the Amazon loss. There are people who made PROMISES to people who play for keeps. She made a fool of the governor Cuomo and the mayor. These people had INVESTORS that are going to take a hit now that Amazon bailed. Some of these “investors” are not the forgive and forget type. She is lucky she is a Congresswoman or she would end up in a barrel in the Atlantic.

First you’d have to find an unreasonable prosecutor.
We know that no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute a Democrat.

Nancy sees an opportunity - she'll find one

Doesn't have to be that far. There are plenty of cement shoes in the East River.

".... Ocasio-Cortez and her team could separately be facing major fines and potentially even jail time if they were knowingly and willfully violating the law...."

The operative word in DC nowadays, if you want to get off the hook for violating federal crimes, is "intend".

As in, "I did not intend to violate the law".

Precedent was set by Hillary Clinton in the throws of the 2016 presidential campaign when Comey at the FBI gave her a pass because she said she didn't "intend" to violate any laws.

Nothing will happen to these folks. They may have the rich chief of staff fall on his sword, but AO-C will be given a pass.

The FEC is too feckless and toothless for anything to happen to a democRAT.

Unless this is a backdoor attempt by Pelosi to get rid of AO-C for embarrassing her and the party. Then maybe so.

The Deep State has powerful tentacles to get what they want.

That'd be my guess. AOC really screwed the pooch with that idiotic comment about Amazon. She pissed off not only her governor, but her mayor.

She may be a champion of the SJW kiddies, but they aren't the major RAT donors. And it's the donors who call the shots.

They must be talking about her primary, cause the main election was guaranteed. So this is Dem on Dem complaint.
