I was a member of a local Young Republicans chapter in 1980. I have found memories of Election Eve, tearing up the streets of Rockland County, N.Y. in my 68 Charger putting up Reagan posters. Some of them that we put up in the Orthodox Jewsih areas had his name printed in Hebrew, should've kept a couple of them, they gotta be collectables now☺. As we were watching the election results, it was clear that Pres Reagan easily won in the Orthodox districts. The chairman of the local Rebublican Party likened it to the virgin having her first love affair.
