How The Obama Presidency Normalized Abortion Extremism
The Federalist ^ | David Harsanyi

Last week, 44 Senate Democrats blocked a bill that would have saved babies who survived abortion attempts from negligent homicide. Presidential candidates Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders all voted against Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse’s Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.

Moderates, progressives, or socialists, it didn’t matter. Although the bill did nothing to restrict abortion, a yes vote would have been tantamount to admitting that babies subjected to post-22 week abortions are viable, which is something the alleged party of science can’t do...

It also normalized “if we lose, a crime has been committed.”

They can’t even acknowledge that a baby with a penis is male and one with a vagina is female.

Is murdering babies and dissecting them to sell their bloody body parts a winning strategy for the ghoul LIBs/DIMS?

SOURCE https://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/23/letter-shows-michelle-obama-backing-partial-birth-abortion/

Then-First Lady Michelle Obama has come under criticism before for a fundraising letter she wrote for her husband
during his 2004 campaign for the U.S. Senate that has her defending partial-birth abortions.

LifeNews is posting a rarely-seen image showing the copy of the actual letter, written to Obama financial supporters, which opposes a ban on the gruesome abortion procedure. In February 2004, Michelle Obama penned a fundraising letter to help her husband Barack raise funds for his Illinois-based Senate seat. The letter contends the federal ban on partial-birth abortions “is clearly unconstitutional” and “a flawed law.”

Though the three-day-long partial-birth abortion procedure involves the partial birth of a baby during the middle trimester of pregnancy and the jamming of scissors into the back of her head to kill her, Obama’s wife describes it as “legitimate” medicine.

OBAMA: “The fact remains, with no provision to protect the heath of the mother, this ban on a legitimate medical procedure is clearly unconstitutional and must be overturned,” Michelle Obama writes in the letter. She also said the Bush administration should not encourage the abortion practitioners who sued to reverse the ban to drop their lawsuit to make it unconstitutional. The Supreme Court later sided with Bush and Congress in saying the ban is legitimate.

In closing, Obama told prospective donors that they could “count on” Barack to “keep the Bush team from appointing the Supreme Court justice that will vote against Roe v. Wade.” Like President Obama, the First Lady has been a strong abortion advocate during her time with Barack in the White House, including during a pre-Democratic convention rally this year.

She was in Florida for a private lunch reception with supporters of then-Pres Obama’s re-election campaign. While there, she met with an activist from the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Before that, she hosted the president of Planned Parenthood’s abortion business at the White House.

I wonder if that’s a better title.

Insights welcome.

No, events have only given these people an opportunity to show who they are, and have chosen to be for years.

Consider again what happened under Obama: what really changed on the Left for which nothing of the old extreme Left was extreme to them anymore?

I will maintain that through their purges of the not-we during the Obama years, such as with Zell Miller — as well as sometimes gradual but sometimes not purges before it — nothing really changed so much as they stopped feeling any needto hide who they are.

It’s why Sanders now is openly a Democrat ... he doesn’t need to pretend anymore.

It’s why AOC and others no longer feel the need to pretend anymore.

They’re in an echo chamber where they are the only ones there.

Everything that’s opposed to them is seen as in the wrong.

The only thing that changed in the last 10 years is they no longer feel the need to hide.

I wonder how many of the 44 believe Kermit Gosnell should never have been prosecuted.

The Obamas should be proud to be complicit in the murder of so many disproportionately-black babies.

A few years ago, NYC had more black abortions than live births; that was the whole point, wasn’t it?

This is s a good question, since most Democrats seem to believe now that what Gosnell did isn’t wrong, and should be legal, even though they went out of his way to use his case to peddle their fatuous argument about abortion restrictions harming women, and how Gosnell was an aberration.
