SpaceX is a different outfit.
They are connected only by the person of Elon Musk.
SpaceX is privately held.
That said, at some point Musk may have to sell SpaceX to cover his personal liabilities.
Space X - competent
Tesla - good design, poor manufacturing and service
Solar City - going out of business
Boring Company - more of a joke than a real thing
