The pictures of the damage are incredible. Sad day and prayers for those affected by this.
And still going on. Southern freezers stay safe!
We had a surprising dearth of this the last year, year and a half.... RIP to the victims....
One hit my home town of DeFuniak Springs FL today. I haven’t heard of any injuries but it did close I-10 due to downed trees.
According to the radar, the same one must have passed very near me but I did not get anything other than heavy rain.
Cheers from Milton!
We got about the same here too.
Bonjour from Navarre! We had fog and rain.
I remember one in the early 60s which killed a lot in Milton.
Also remember in 1965 Walton High broke Milton’s 44 game winning streak, 13-12 in Milton.
Major damage is reported in Cairo, Geogia.
Lots of prayers going up that there are no more victims. Praying that all are recovered safe and sound
I left Kansas in 1960 and never missed the tornadoes. When I retire in a very short time I will leave CA, but I won’t return to tornado or hurricane country.
I heard the siren at least four times.
We had several touch down in the middle Georgia area, but my exact area wasn’t hit.
FATHER GOD,
Draw close to the families of the those who killed in the outbreak of tornadoes in the southern states this evening. May there be an outpouring of support to help them heal and get their lives back in order.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. Amen.
Wow!
There was one in Pensacola with about 2 years that hit a small apartment complex on Scenic Hgwy, I think. I’m pretty sure no one died in that one, which is very fortunate, because someone took a video of it. It was a pretty fat barrel shaped tornado maybe a f3 even, but not a wedge, at night, and in the video it was being periodically illuminated by lighting, but otherwise it was not visible.
I must confess though that game was 6 years before my time :D
Florida dittos, yardog! God bless.
Bonjour!
Now Navarre is among the most lovely places that I’ve been.
I cannot even remember how many days I have been so blessed to have spent at Florida’s Best Kept Secret^^
Florida dittos, Zirondelle! God bless.
