That is very true. His character on Roseanne was the worst.
Barr was funny way before we heard of Tom Arnold. She was one of HBO’s “Women Comedians of the Night” (along with Rita Rudner, Paula Poundstone, possibly Rosie O’Donnell and possibly Whoopie Goldberg” (back in the 80’s).
HBO also had a “Men Comedians of the Night” counterpart series that included Sam Kinnison (absolutey pant-wetting funny), Drew Carey, possibly Jeff Foxworthy, Richard Klein?, etc.
These people were funny.
