I was in Afghanistan in 2007. I went there believing it was a worthwhile mission. I left believing it would take 100,000 troops, minimum, for 100 years to turn Afghanistan into a place fit for human habitation. It is the definition of why a neutron bomb is useful!

We’re in Afghanistan because someone with Zero knowledge (ahem) decided he was going to demonstrate his “foreign affairs creds” by declaring that we needed to be in Afghanistan during his Presidential campaign. He apparently, despite being a “Harvard educated lawyer” never heard the term “Graveyard of Empires”.
