Early they captured oil fields in Iraq and Syria. They had some support from Turkey and Qatar.
The coalition and Western nation bankers have managed to cripple their ability to fund their terrorism.
In the Region, Turkey and Iran both still support terrorists.
When the pocket in Baghouz is ended, the only ISIS left in Syria are where Turkey planted them last year in Efrin. Take away Turk air strikes and our allies would love to take that back too.
Then there are some al Qaeda (Nusra) and other Jihadi Terrorists in NW Syria.
The SDF (YPG/YPJ, Assyrian Christians and Arab allies) have done the world a great favor in eliminating ISIS in Syria and in Iraq.
There are still some other issue in Iraq. Not related to the Syrian portion of this.
