I listened to this entire speech. (VP Mike Pence at CPAC 2019)
Some of it was stilted as VP Pence's speaking style happens to be....but he was quite articulate in listing all of President Trump's accomplishments and quite enthusiastic. The speech was punctuated by many raucous standing ovations.
Here is some of his main point of his speech:
he part of his speech that was truly outstanding IMHO, was how he contrasted American FREEDOM with the enslavement and destruction of Socialism being touted by the Demonazis.
America was founded on a simple idea...that idea is freedom. ....It was freedom, not socialism that gave us the most prosperous economy in the world. More like this. It was freedom not socialism.....
What medicare for all means is quality healthcare for none.
The only thing green about the green new deal is the green that its going to cost taxpayers if these people ever pass it into law.
The truth is we want to make poverty more rare while they want to make poverty more comfortable.
Thats the choice we face today...Between freedom and socialism.
The moment America becomes a socialist country is the moment when America ceases to be America.
So we must say with one voice, America will NEVER BE a socialist country.
more good stuff. ABOUT FREEDOM!
I was pleasantly surprised. I know some here do not like or value VP Pence. I do and more after hearing this speech. Just IMHO.
Poverty is never comfortable. I’ve been there. If these jackasses get their way, we’ll all be filthy dirt poor and totally at the mercy of their perverted sense of justice.
“stilted as VP Pence’s speaking style happens to be”
I didn’t hear the speech. The content may well have been great. But I agree with you his speaking style is terrible. I almost have to turn the radio off when I hear him. I don’t think Pence could ever beat a no-holds-barred Dim in a presidential race.
Well, I thought the same. But at least he was crystal clear in what he said and he did say it enthusiastically.
I think he could take on Bernie Sanders or some of the other architects of socialism and win.
But the fake news media will portray him as a right wing extremist so there’s that.
If these jackasses get their way, well all be filthy dirt poor and totally at the mercy of their perverted sense of justice.
That’s exactly right.
All will be poor except those in the ruling class. We must truly fight with all we have to keep them from coming to power.
Success in politics depends on being able to energize crowds to go to the polls for you.
The proof that Mike Pence can get “raucous standing ovations” means he’ll be a great asset to the Republicans in 2020, especially to the Republican Congressional candidates he’ll be speaking for around the country.
As for the Democrats, the only presidential candidate on their side with a proven ability to energize large crowds is Bernie Sanders, particularly on college campuses, of which there is a multitude in this country.
Meanwhile, the other Democratic presidential candidates seem content to wile away their time making idiotic comments to the media, or, like Joe Biden, refusing to enter the race so that they can take on Bernie and save their party from the virtual Bolshevik Revolution of anointing a Socialist as their presidential nominee.
Trump’s up in a few minutes.
bump
Yes....agree totally.
