Yeah chicano California idioms are different from Spain-Spanish idioms. Sometimes they even don`t know which word is correct so they got to ask their parents who were born in Mexico. Words in chicano are slurred and run together as compared to Mexico City Spanish which is very sharp and tingly. [Similar situation vis a vis French Canadian and French, not identical.

Well I say (ya’all are an azzhole ) and it works for most folks. But old white guys get a little lazy with our speech. I continuously tell youngsters to talk slow cause I listen slow.
