I see that one of the “rebels” was from New Jersey. I grew up in a small town in northern NJ where the Dems usually were a majority. Nevertheless we had gun safety movies in class, and older students could have one day off during hunting season. This was in the late ‘40s or early ‘50s, so I have no idea what the rules are these days, but I image hunting still goes on.
