No filibuster of the resolution.
If the Senate passes it like the House did they won’t get the votes to override a POTUS veto.
By law cloture doesn't apply on this legislation. The Senate has to vote on it and a simple majority carries it. But they would still need 67 voted to override a presidential veto.
Sounds to me like they are making up excuses to justify overruling Trump on this. This power was specifically granted to the president by congress itself and has been used by several presidents repeatedly. They never had a problem with it before, they want open boarders. They are not fooling me.
I totally agree, this is due to the Rats and some RINOs wanting open borders.

At SOME POINT, the Republicans in Congress will realize that Democrats do not give a shit regarding the behavior of our side - they are going to use EVERY tool they can think of, and this will be one of them, regardless of what Trump does at this point.
The ONLY QUESTION now is whether the Republicans figure this before, or after, we lose the country.

They will fight Trump talking about the Constitution and “precedent” but when the Socialist scum left gain power again, these same miscreants will not raise an objection.

It’s perfectly legal because Congress gave the POTUS the authority by law in 1976.

BobL, they know exactly what’s going on! Our problem is that they hate Trump almost as much as the RATs do. They “yearn” for things to “go back to the way that they were BT”! For the GOPe that means getting paid for lying to and screwing the people who elected them to public office. And in that scenario, all they have to do is complain about how horrible the RATs are and get paid just the same. In my book Mitch McConnell is as big a piece of crap as is Jerry Nadler. They probably feed from the same trough.

You can always rely on Collins and Murkowski to go with the Dems. Yet, McConnell never does anything to them, lets them keep their committee assignments etc. Republicans are pathetic.
