I think Cohen’s job was to hide behind attorney-client privilege while doing the dirty work needed to handle real estate deals in a corrupt place like NYC. Can you imagine a big deal there that WOULDN’T involve bribing union officials, or corrupt city inspectors? I suspect, at a minimum, it would require exploring the grey areas of the law, doing favors to people one despises in order to get the cooperation needed to finish the deal.
For REAL legal work, I think Trump hired good attorneys. Cohen didn’t need to be a “good lawyer”. He needed to be a fluent liar who could maintain attorney client privilege - and in the end, he failed at that.

If you look at what dumb@ss Cummings has actually done for the last 40 years in Congress, the answer is NOTHING.
Well, that’s he may have helped name a post office or bridge, really important stuff like that. But that’s it. Other than that, his major accomplishment is being a bombastic dumb@ss racist.

He lied 15 second into his testimony. That’s where I shut it off. When he said “Trump ran a campaign based on hate and intolerance” that was it for me. Please give us ONE single solitary example of that Mr. Cohen. The only people he EVER put down where GANG MEMBERS. He also said “Mexico is sending rapists, killers” OK maybe Mexico isn’t, but there damn well IS rapists and killer sneaking across the border. We’ve seen countless examples of that. That’s a long way from tagging his campaign as being “based on hate and intolerance” Mr. Cohen.
Well said...I really believe Cohen has been lying so long he believes many of his own lies.
Nothing will happen in America until a grand jury tells a DA or AG to investigate what happened to see if a crime was committed.
Articles in newspapers, talk show host saying guilty and other on line bs really does not matter until a Grand Jury tells the DA or AG to investigate a possibility/probable cause that a felony crime had been committed.

Given how much the members of Congress lie to America, I don’t see where minor prevarications by Cohen to Congress are in any way a BIG deal.
