YES! Begin radical deconstruction of the enemy of the Constitution called the EPA...

Wheeler is also a character on the Captain Planet cartoon.
He’s the American who doesn’t buy into all of the global envirowhacko screeds.

Manchin was just re-elected, so he doesn’t have to pretend to be a moderate for a while.

“Why doesn’t Thuthan Collinth just switch parties?”

How many Democrats have a 100% record on voting for Trump’s judges?

“On the bright side, when Susan Collins dies, the GOP won’t miss her vote, since she consistently votes with the Democrats. What is the matter with people from Maine???”

She does count toward the majority and the election of majority leader. If the GOP loses 3 seats at a 50/50 tie the VP’s vote carries the day. Take 4 seats away, including Collins, and the Dems have a 51/49 majority.

Looking at the 2020 election the GOP has some seats in play. McSally could easily lose Arizona as she has before, Tillis could lose NC, and Perdue could lose to Evans in Georgia. Colorado is turning blue rapidly so Cory Gardiner could lose that seat which already leans Dem by 1.5 points. If 3 of those 4 lose and Collins also loses, and there are no pickups of Dem seats, it will be majority leader Schumer in January 2021.

That does seems to be what minority leader in waiting McConnell is working towards.

Two sentence fragments from the article:

1. Every Democrat voted against Wheeler...

2. Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.), the only Democrat who voted to confirm Wheeler...

Confusing?

Good for Joe.

Every time I see Susan Collins I think she looks like she should be standing behind a high school cafeteria counter in a white uniform and hairnet, slopping peaches into your mashed potatoes. I call her the lunch lady. Except a cafeteria worker would be smarter and more valuable to society.

Because she votes with the republicans more than she votes against.

Thank you. Every little bit helps and we should be mature enough to be aware it could be worse...a lot worse.

I can't say I agree with her on everything, but she is not a slacker and I have to say that after her speech on Kavanaugh, she is not a knee jerk reactionary voter in the Senate. She takes her job seriously.

It bears repeating, she is the best that can come out of Maine from a republican point of view.

“Pruitt who left the administration after a series of controversies, including his taking first-class flights on EPA business, his rental of a room in Washington at the price of $50 per night from the wife of an energy lobbyist and questionable international visits to the Vatican and Morocco.”

OMG, Washington has never seen such corruption./s
