President Trump’s decision to walk away from a bad nuclear deal with North Korea won exceptional praise from Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, who said Thursday the president deserves credit for being willing to forgo a weak agreement.
“President Trump did the right thing by walking away and not cutting a poor deal for the sake of a photo op,” Mr. Schumer said as the Senate convened.
He challenged the president to take the same approach to negotiations with China, saying he must “have the courage to do the same thing” and walk away if he doesn’t get a good deal on trade negotiations.

This is the 3% left over when you have 97% negative coverage about Trump. But praising him for what he didn’t do is faint praise indeed. You could praise Jack the Ripper in the same way.

Schmucky is merely signaling his media stooges to forget about trivial things like denuclearization and to get back to Cohen, Cohen, Cohen.
Yep, especially Schumer. I don’t recall him ever saying anything good about President Trump.
I am a big fan of president Trump I stayed up and watched his news conference after the summit ended last night. This was by far his most presidential sober knowledgeable and responsible behavior as president to date.
There is a secret desire to support the American president it exists even in the hearts of people like Chuck Schumer and Joe Scarborough. The president can cultivate that natural desire even from his political opponents.
The president’s behavior was so perfect last night just the perfect tone and even his sharing the stage with Pompeo.
Also, during the public discussions with Kim, the president was completely in control. I loved the way when he would stop talking he would say curtly to the translator “go ahead”. He wasn’t disrespectful but he was in command.
IMHO - China came to the table with opinion Trump was dealing from a weakened hand because of the Cohen hearing. They thought the President needed something to counter the bad press coming out of Hearing and so they dealt a poor hand thinking the President would grab it. After all dismantling a large nuclear facility is a big deal. But The President stuck to his guns and walked away until they put the whole nuclear program on the table.
We have a great President.

Chuck realizes it’s a power move and commends it to make it seem like it’s just a normal thing to do. Make no mistake, he wants to diminish the president in his praise.

Did it affect the talks?
It was the question on my mind yesterday. What a time for our Congress to degenerate our president, when he was engaged in talks to solve the North Korean crisis. A problem our nation has had to deal with for decades and one that has cost thousands of American lives in the beginning.
Was it just to increase their chances of winning in 2020?
Would the Democrats continue to keep the nation, the entire world in danger, just to increases their odds of winning in 2020?
