I agree to the idea that people underestimate he at their peril. I t doesn’t mean she is bright or even good politically but rather in her and her followers eyes she takes the moral high ground by being a true believer. She true my believes in climate change and has been able to marry that belief with Socialism as man’s only hope for survival. She reasons yes with a generation th a t has had the perverse belief in man made climate change shoved d I ended their trembling throats all their lives. Fear of imminent death is a great motivator for the young. It’s why I am now asking the question “What comes after Trump?”

People who are in politics generally overall are not very bright
Sure some are smart, but most are average.
Bright people do bright things, like invent Tomorrows technology, research and develop new medicines, start or run businesses, etc
They generally don’t run for public office, some might, usually later in life (like our current president)
Cortez, since she is so young, is already saying, she isn’t smart enough to be a great thinker or inventor or business leader, but that is fine. That does not automatically make her dumb.
She seem to have watched President Trump and realize that to be successful in politics, you need to have name recognition, she is doing that right now, that action is smart. She has us all talking about her daily, that is smart.
I agree, the worse thing we can do is underestimate her, we do that, and we hand 2024 to her on a silver platter.
