What is striking and controversial are the repeated interventions into the debate made by the government's own 'extremism commissioner', Sara Khan. Over recent years Khan has been a hugely admirable figure. The founder and leader of the women's group 'Inspire', Khan has shown a generation of British people – including, most importantly, young Muslim women – that it is possible to be resilient against the fanatics in their faith and also to argue for the rights of women. She has been an unarguable force for good, and has had to withstand appalling pressure from Islamist groups in the UK.

In 2006 a small group of peers, MPs and Islamist groups sent an open letter to the then-Labour government. The signatories included the subsequently jailed Lord Ahmed of Rotherham, the subsequently disgraced (over expenses fraud) Baroness Uddin and the then-MP, now Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. This letter suggested to the UK government of the day that British foreign policy "risks putting civilians at increased risk both in the UK and abroad." This is a commonly heard argument of course, and is especially commonly heard from various extremist groups.

Socialist/Marxist have gotten to over some 40 decades of Happy Americans to change millions of them into unhappy and disgruntled whiners. Adding to the unhappiness ISIS is reaping evil rewards of a disgruntled people with no knowledge of their history AND our institutions of 'learning' and without question Democrats are keeping it that way.

The problem is that the boundary between extremists and non-extremists on the political left has moved closer to the center and continues to do so, minting new extremists, drawing more leftists into the victim zone. Leftists are increasingly offended by innocuous actions and speech from the right.

This accompanies a retreat by the right, who, rather than give further offense, stifle, self-censor, and succumb to the contumely coming from the left.

It is a vicious cycle that will continue until the right is sufficiently radicalized to redeem their culture.

Some years ago, I was a MSgt in the AF...we attended some sort of sensitivity training and what constituted sex harassment, etc. I coildn’t restrain myself and asked it they really thought that the emotionally mature normal people who had coping skills were supposed to walk on eggshells to keep from offending the emotionally crippled social misfits...the room was silent for a second, then my boss (a female lesbian Major) started to stutter that they “...weren’t all emotionally crip...”....until she caught herself and realized that while many knew about her, she wasn’t officially ‘out” and it was still “Don’t ask, don’t tell”
Then the lady running the show said, “Yes, that’s how it is” and smiled at me. Turns out she was directed to run those “training sessions” and she hated to have to do it but needed the job.
