There’s people doing the same thing on cruise ships.

Myself, I’m thinking a cabin in the woods somewhere, and if the good Lord takes me, or maybe the local wildlife, so be it.

Or maybe just skip that and relax in my comfy chair in suburbia as long as I can afford the power bill and stuff.

Whatevah. Not there yet.

That’s what my wife and I did 8 years ago. 26 acres of woods and two streams and six acres of lawn, mowed with my zero turn. Completely private and the total cost of the house (new, btw), the acreage and the barn was, well, it would get you three new Camrys. :)

Oh, and the annual property taxes on the whole thing are the equivalent of one month’s payment on a Camry (five year financing). We can live darned comfortably here on SS alone if we really wanted to. And we do see lots of deer, rabbits, racoons, Hawks, etc.
