We gave up on Chase 30+ years ago when they wouldn’t zero out our credit card balance. We’d pay the statement on time and not charge anything but the next statement would always show a balance. Chase claimed that the time between sending out their statement and the time they got our on time payment, interest accrued so, by their own words, the balance would never be zeroed out. Finally, sent them a $5 check (I know, a scam and $5 lost) along with a letter to cancel the card forever.

My buddy at work who is a Vietnam war Navy veteran with 3 sons who fought in Afghanistan and elsewhere, had his Chase credit card cancelled.

This happened to me (non veteran.)within a short time.

Reason: Chase said we can do it, we have the legal right to do it, we have the power to do it (in different words). Both of our accounts were always paid on time, never late or overcharged over the maximum.

To all vets here: Thank you again for your service to our country.
Main reason: Small accounts cost us money to keep servicing so we can close them if we wish.
