This point is a good point which gets lost in the propaganda.
Remember how they pushed “Superstorm Sandy” as a key example of global warming. Personally, I think it’s partly because the media, being centered in New York as they are, personally felt those effects, and magnified those effects in their reporting.
But while hurricane force storms are unusual on the New York/New Jersey coast, they have happened in the past. There was a severe hurricane which struck Long Island in 1938. Hurricanes are not unheard of all the way up the Atlantic Coast.
And now they are naming winter storms on the Weather Channel, as if they are hurricanes, and also pushing global warming with each report on that channel.
