It’s a stupid custom because no democrat will vote for ANY nominee President Trump puts forward anyway.

Graham said he will honor blue slips for district court judges but not for appeals court judges.

Exactly, the Rats are trying everything they can to stop President Trump’s judicial nominees.

The Democrats are active enemies of constitutional governance. Giving them respect is like giving respect to a domestic enemy.

Correct, I read that the other day.

Eric Miller is a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals nominee and may Murray and Cantwell choke on their blue slips. :^)

Republicans view the courts as their best shot for the party having a long-term impact.
*************************************************
Well, then they need to START TRYING HARDER!

BOTH the Senate and President Trump need to get cracking to QUICKLY fill the MANY VACANCIES on US federal judgeships. There are currently 151 vacancies for which many Trump had not yet submitted nominees.

https://www.uscourts.gov/judges-judgeships/judicial-vacancies/current-judicial-vacancies

And there are 20 other judgeships where near-future vacancies are known. These also need nominations in the pipeline.

https://wwwuscourts.gov/judges-judgeships/judicial-vacancies/future-judicial-vacancies

I hope President Trump (and Lindsey Graham, the new Judiciary Committee Chairman) give this effort the URGENCY it needs.

TIME TO GET MOVING SENATOR GRAHAM!

“Democrats argue Republicans are trying to defang the minority by moving nominees even if they don’t have the support of a home-state senator.”

Exactly, now shove your blue slips up your ass.

If true then Graham is a COMPLETE MORON. It is District Court judges who have been constantly STAYING President Trump’s legitimate actions.

Abuse a curtesy, loose a curtesy. Democrats seem to think that they are the only ones who should be able play hard ball.

This blue slip business must end. It is an echoed pattern of an authoritarian use of force. Completely ignoring voters for the sake of the party’s power.

No, I don’t want a democrat packing the courts. That is why I vote in evey elections. This blue slip business goes against everything both parties CLAIM to stand for.

This tool is a bipartisan FU to every legal citizen of the US.

I can’t seem to find any mention of blue slips in the Constitution.

This blue slip malarkey, like the non-voting filibuster, is just another symptom of senators inflating their imperial egos. Over the years, they've created all manner of ways that a single senator can stop the proceedings—the Constitution be damned—so that they can all take turns being the number one badass in town.
