A campus conservative was assaulted by a student at the University of California, Berkeley, on Tuesday for protesting hate crime hoaxes.
According to video taken of the incident, the student threatened to shoot the victim, who was tabling with Berkeley Turning Point USA, before knocking his phone out of his hand and punching him in the face. The incident occurred during the course of an argument over Berkeley Turning Point USA’s posters, which referenced growing reports that "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett engineered a fake hate crime attack against himself.
Throughout the day, six to seven students harassed the campus conservative and the Turning Point members he was tabling with. A political economy student at the university and an acquaintance of the victim, Jacob Nikolau, was tabling with the club for part of the day.

This student is a brave young man just to do that on UC Berkeley grounds. It’s a known fact in that this school does not always protect the rights of conservatives while on campus.
I'm sure it will be the norm one day.

I wouldn’t be surprised if many conservatives are not aware of their 14th Amendment protections.
”14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
In fact, UC Berkeley lost a 14th Amendment challenge not too long ago.

However, taxpayers probably paid the compensation. Correction welcome.
