That is a fair question. But to me a better question is why it is the job of the United States government to convince other nations to think like we do on social issues like this. I don’t think our federal government should have anything to do with state laws relating to sexuality let alone the laws of some other nation.

There is also a huge push to make this man our ambassador to the UN. It is an iron law that whenever a government figure has universally good press, you should smell a rat. When somebody is loved equally by “conservatives” and progressives, it is time to question their conservative bone fides.

It is totally our business when people end up on our doorstep as refugees due to it being the law in their home country that they will be executed if they are caught.
