Roger Stone cannot speak publicly about case, judge rules

Federal Judge Amy Berman Jackson on Thursday dramatically restricted Roger Stone's ability to speak publicly about his case after he published an Instagram post with what appeared to be the crosshairs of a gun drawn behind her head.

From this moment on, Stone may not speak publicly about the investigation or the case or any participants in the investigation or the case.

"Period," Jackson adds.

Jackson said Stone could issue no statements on the radio, no press releases, no blogs, no media interviews, no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat posts and no statements can be made on his behalf by spokespersons, family members or even "many volunteers," Jackson said.

"This is not baseball," she added. "There will not be a third chance."

She just handed him grounds for appealing and overturning any conviction. On a silver platter.

Stone isn't in trouble for talking too much.

It doesn't matter how much of a douche Stone is (and he's a big one). It also doesn't matter whether he will prejudice the case against him with his overly opinionated pie hole.

Even the charges against him don't matter when it comes to the central point of the judge's order.

What she did is completely unconstitutional. You have a right to remain silent. There's no authority anywhere that says you have to.

The consequences of what you say can harm you, but restricting that right is completely and utterly unconstitutional.

This Stone comes off as a complete goof. Who berates the Judge who is currently presiding over your case!
Have you guys ever seen him on talk shows? Total oddball (woof woof) and narcissist.

Good points. I never saw him as I almost never watch TV.

I think Roger Stone is one of the few oddball characters we have today. (Used to have Norman Mailer,Abbie Hoffman,Sinatra & the Rat Pack and many more). Not as a role model, but to liven up our sinking nation’s mood.

Possibly Trump subliminally chooses these associates either to keep him sharp by opposing viewpoints or by contrasting himself with others as some people do with friends. A stern level headed businessman may have three practical joke prone, always laughing buddies who are his inseparable fishing and hunting friends.

He has some similarities with Steve Bannon for example but may have also wanted the stabilizing help of military generals like Flynn, too. It’s a mystery why he brought so many who undermined him and departed.

I think if someone had said don’t hire this one or that one it would have emboldened Trump to be sure to hire them.

No, I was not aware of that. When did that happen?

Well, judges issue gag orders all the time. You're free to talk but contempt of court is the consequence.

No, I was not aware of that. When did that happen?

According to Wikipedia:

Assange surrendered to UK police on 7 December 2010 but was released on bail within 10 days. Having been unsuccessful in his challenge to the extradition proceedings, he breached his bail and absconded.

Will the Obama appointed judge not like me knowing she let Hillary off for Benghazi?

Will she have a problem with me donating to Roger Stone's defense fund?

Will the judge complain about anything connected to Mueller's witch hunt?

Gag orders are not constitutional. They’re a blatant violation of the 1st Amendment. Just add gag orders to a very large stack of unconstitutional things allowed and promoted by our corrupt government.

I'm having a hard time understanding how this gag order can possibly be constitutional...

You and me both. Interesting how these things start in other Countries and end up here. I recall in Australia there was a court injunction against a television series depicting some crimes that happened in Melbourne because the court felt the series could jeopardize the fairness of the trial. It seems you really need to pay attention to what’s going on all over the globe because eventually, it will happen here.

Do you just plain like firearms? Or do you support the American 2nd Amendment in principle? If so, do check out this BOLD new website before they censor it: https://GunDynamics.com

Mueller is crying to the judge that he broke the gag order because get this he posted a picture on Instagram that has the title above him “ who framed Roger Stone “ so does that mean that Mueller is confirming they framed him? I think it does.
