Without God’s goodness as a plumb line for right and wrong, moderns have no framework with which to judge the clear evils that exist in human behavior. So they’ve settled on a simplistic moral standard that boils all sin down to a single category: oppression. Having learned about a few undeniable evils that existed in the recent past—slavery, Nazi concentration camps, Jim Crow—they’ve seized on the notion of “History” as a moral force that trends in one direction, the direction of progress.
History has a right side and a wrong side, and that line—however vague and changeable it might appear—is what separates good from evil. What’s more, we can look at our sample of known historical events and determine who the good and evil actors are. The oppressors are wicked, and the oppressed are righteous.
This moral framework leads to an inescapable conclusion: victimhood is the highest virtue. Victims and members of oppressed identity groups are elevated to a kind of sainthood in the progressive religion. Those who are more oppressed have more moral authority and are thus more worthy to speak, set policy, and make demands. This is in fact exactly what intersectionality teaches, complete with a hierarchy of victimhood for comparing everyone’s relative righteousness.
Is it any wonder, then, so many Americans are desperately trying to portray themselves as victims? Should we be surprised that while early Christians were tempted to inflate their giving to the poor, early progressives are tempted to fabricate hate crimes against themselves?

This is not victimhood....this is setting up conservatives to be eliminated.
Millions of people already believe that conservatives are racists, homophobes and misogynists.
These fake hate crimes and #FakeNews stories only reinforce that. The media saying we are anti-immigrant is completely wrong, but reinforces the underlying hate of conservatives.
Despite multiple staged hate crimes and hoaxes, those millions have not changed their mind about conservatives....we are still a hate group worthy of their disdain.
We are the Jews in 1930s Germany. The narrative against us has been set. The socialists are simply waiting for the right time to implement the Final Solution.

I would add that it is not just the absence of God, but the substitution of “man as God”, that truly gets the evil going.
That is, when people lose God, they lose their moral compass; but when they substitute themselves of God, they become, they make themselves, the *enemy* of God. For sacraments they embrace the seven deadly sins, and they cannot just ignore God, they feel compelled to attack God.

I fear there are a great many sheep in this country who would willingly board the boxcars just because they believe the government has their best interest at heart. The rest of us, well, they have to disarm us first. And that may take some doing.

The group whose male population between 15 and 35 commit 50% of all violent crime, in spite of being only around 4% of the population?
Perhaps the group who wants to sodomize your kids?
Maybe they're talking about the group who believes they'll be rewarded in heaven with "virgins" if they kill enough Christians?

We are overrun in this nation with identity politics(most of it anti-white too). You can't condone having race based political i.e. the Black Caucus, lobbying and social groups and expect it to be any different especially when it is all so one way. We either eliminate them all together or whites need their own.

Thanks for posting this good article. Progressive politics is the religion of many modern secularists. It fills their the void of transcendent meaning in their lives. Their sense of virtue comes from fighting oppression, which could be good, but they are now inventing oppression so as to make themselves feel more self-righteous. Ultimately, they are all about themselves and satisfying their own out-sized egos.
