The Post lied: "wearing a relentless smirk". A headline that stated the MAGA teens surrounded the drummer. The lied and said that they (the Post) incorrectly called Phillips a Vietnam vet when they knew it was Phillips who lied.

Mostly they lie by omission, that way they can use the excuse that they are lazy and stupid. They didn't bother finding and disclosing the most obvious facts about Phillips, that he was a liar and professional agitator.

I think the asking figure is out of line. It should be 500 million. Lawyers get half, Nick gets the rest. Maybe they should ask for 750 million, because of taxes. Whatever, bankrupt the Washington Post and everyone will be happy.

“Allocution” is a new word to me, but finding it in a legal dictionary, let’s hope that WaPo’s lawyer makes such a statement in a court of law instead of just on a piece of legal paper. Either way though will be ok.
