They should revoke her degree.

A case can be made by opponents of this Amazon move: It would have displaced a lot of people, who were for the most part unqualified for the new jobs, and replaced them with a new population while they were left to fend for themselves in one of the most expensive locations in the world.
The problem for Cortez is that the Dems representing the district in question, as well as the mayor of the city and governor of the state, all wanted it; they admit the state is dying, and need to reverse that trend - and now these activists have pushed the stake a little deeper into the heart of the city and state.
They know they have no way of getting it from taxpayers; every time they squeeze, more taxpayers slip through their fingers to greener pasture in other states. Cuomo has publicly admitted as much.
Cortez is the “gift that keeps on giving”. Carry on.

It’s funny when one Socialist has to explain basic economics to another Socialist, who allegedly has a degree in such from Boston University. Anyone who is attending or who has attended BU should immediately seek a refund of any and all tuition paid on the basis of gross negligence.

Yes it does. As a case in point, the Federal Reserve was very “accomodative” during the Obama years. It pumped massive amounts of money into the economy with the stroke of a few keys (and kept interest rates artificially low during his entire two terms).
And when liberals dream up projects they want funded they look to Uncle Sugar to provide large financial grants (e.g., California’s ill fated bullet train, green energy schemes like Solyndra, etc.)
So money does suddenly appear out of thin air — but only for Democrats.
If this woman was Sarah Palin, the media would be hounding her to no end AND mocking her to her face. But Antifa-Cortez represents the intellect of every working mediot and she agrees with their politics.
Van Jones, and more recently de Blasio said that there was plenty of money, it just wasn't distributed properly. This is the way they think.

At the very least students and alumni should be asking hard questions of the administrators about the quality and standards of the education they are paying for. Their “investment” in education is being devalued with each passing week. If they don’t care about that then they are no different than her.
Which might explain why she was a bartender.

Amazon would have gotten a $3 billion tax break off of paying $28 billion. But somehow $25 billion is worse than $0 billion, and now New York has $3 billion from somewhere sitting around to do whatever with. That’s Socialist math for you.

Absolutely right. AOC is their poster child for socialism and they are simpatico with her so she is protected by her fellow travellers in the media.
It is not just the government that would have benefited. There are hundreds of people that invested in real estate in the area close to where the Amazon complex was supposed to be built. Adjacent real estate prices went up based on speculation. People bought condos speculating they would be worth more. These buildings have not even been built yet.
Then there is the actual construction of the Amazon complex that was supposed to be estimated at $2.9 billion. Construction jobs, materials, union dues, kickbacks, Italians mobsters, are all out potential money. AOC will be lucky to survive until the next election.
