It always baffles me to see a veteran who is a crazed far leftist. One would think their time in the service would cure anyone of that dangerous disease of the mind.
It would be like a leftist police officer. That would be like dirty oil (the leftist part) and sparkling spring water. It just creates a mess of the mind.
The military takes all kinds, during my first enlistment (1984-87) I met a guy (11B, Infantryman) who was an overt and avowed Trotskyite. He hated the Soviet Union, as a corruption of the Socialist ideal, with a burning passion.
From what I understood, aside from a tendency to bore people with polemics, he caused no problems. I met him because everyone thought he was a novelty and infantrymen find the wierdest s—t amusing.
