More from the articleHis mother, Dhakira Talbot, said the school should have handled the situation differently and is working with the Poor and Minority Justice Association, a nonprofit organization, to get the charges dropped.
Im upset, Im angry. Im hurt, Talbot said. More so for my son. My son has never been through anything like this. I feel like this shouldve been handled differently. If any disciplinary action shouldve been taken, it shouldve been with the school. He shouldnt have been arrested.
According to the schools student handbook, students can opt out of the pledge with written permission from a parent or guardian. But a spokesperson for the school said the substitute teacher was not aware of the policy.
The district also told the substitute teacher she could no longer work at any schools within the district.

Of COURSE the TEACHER was the one ultimately punished, by being declared unemployable by the district. This substitute teacher was never briefed as to the rule about "students don't have to recite the Pledge". So how can they be held responsible for asking the student to recite the Pledge? They didn't ridicule him, they didn't smack him, they just (mistakenly) asked him to act like a civil human being. Apparently, thanks to the excellent race baiting tutelage by his gutter trash mother, he learned that he can (1) be disrespectful to his country, (2) be disrespectful to an authority figure, (3) act out in class and (4) get a teacher FIRED, all without penalty. In fact, there is a libtard legal organization rushing up to give the gutter trash mother legal assistance for her nasty kid being held accountable for poor classroom behavior. And what about him threatening the teacher? That's nothing? You see the same thing acted out time after time in the NYC libtard school system, where the word of the teacher means nothing compared to a pack of lies told by students.

"The district also told the substitute teacher she could no longer work at any schools within the district." This Identity Politics is going BS toxic. It illustrates how far Left has been able to weaponize Identity Politics. We are entering a situation where the basic foundations of America are being tossed on the funeral pyre. I know a Ukrainian who left Communist Ukraine because his father could no longer work because of a politically incorrect statement. My friend says we are becoming like Communist Russia here. The Ukraine people are the most conservative people in America. The Cuban substitute is likewise conservative.

He shouldnt have been arrested. Might as well get used to it. I see many arrests in his future.
And quit filling your kid's head with racial bigotry and irrational hatred, Dhakira. You're doing him no favors.

The Cuban substitute teacher is unemployable because she was threatened by a young self-important punk.
Who is the "they" who brought the boy here?
