Where Trump won: Historic ICE funding, triple wall miles, killed ‘poison pills’...

Insiders who worked on the deal said that compared to going along with a spending continuing resolution, the GOP scored several wins....“I know the conventional wisdom is that he lost on the wall in this package. But he gained … under impossible conditions,” ...While a country mile away from being able to declare it a victory, the number of wins the GOP won in the three weeks of negotiations were sizable.

Compared to a simple continuing resolution, or CR, with nothing extra beyond current spending levels set in fiscal 2018, Trump gained extra funding for the wall. A CR would have provided $500 million, said the source, but Trump received $1.375 billion. That is “triple” the number of miles in the fiscal 2018 budget and “nearly three times as much as would have been available under a CR,” ....On detention beds, the number increased 13% over fiscal 2018. And when another $750 million in transfer and reprogramming authority is added in, it represents a 44% increase, said the source.

... the bill provides historic funding levels for ICE and Customs and Border Protection, a rejection of liberal efforts to kill the agencies. It was a 7% budget increase for a combined $21.5 billion.

What’s more, Trump and his team blocked several moves by Pelosi and other Democrats to fill the deal with anti-wall moves .....

Nice try but the bill forbids a wall and mandates a fence with pedestrian walkways and it allows Rat mayors to block installing said fence in their jurisdiction.

Nice try yourself. Trump's signing statements said he's not obligated to follow these directives.

It’s probably also the reason why the MSM didn’t openly discuss the bill that Trump signed. I would have thought that the signing would be a big thing. Democrats win, Trump capitulates, etc. We didn’t even post much about it here with the exception that the TrumpHaters here declared Trump persona non grata.

I can agree that's possible. At any rate he wants the work not only to continue but to speed up for obvious reasons.....

Our military will be on the border until Sept... at which time Trump most likely will extend that as not only are they assisting keeping out these caravans but they're protecting the workers .

We sold you out, to the Koch brothers and globalists, but we are going to claim a win anyway...

Dems has offered 1.3 b. Before the shutdown... you got nothing and sold America out.

Crap like this is exacltly why Trump won and exactly why he’ll win again

Let the mayors block what they will and then deal with the illegal carnage they’ll be faced with....as for Pedestrian walkways...those have always been a part of the border for workers as much as those who come thru legally. But the added technology and manpower will control that.

Nitpickers will always ‘pick’ rather than see the gain....just as the ‘little foxes soil the vine’...They didn't get what they wanted so unfortunately can't see the big picture nor the long run.... ...meanwhile the walls are going up and moving forward regardless . We ARE getting the wall built!

Be patient and look at the long run.......we’ve still got time on our side and the dems do not. Further he has a lot of tools he’s not going to reveal until he uses them...at the hour of his choosing.

Unfortunately, the Never-Trumpers have become emboldened lately. It is like playing a game of Whack-A-Mole with them. The little twerps pop up as fast as you can knock them back down.

the maroons think their negativity makes them look insightful.        but it just makes them look negative, not a good look.

and then there’s the Presidential signing statement, which says, in several ways within the statement,

” I will treat these, and similar provisions, consistent with the President’s constitutional authority as Commander in Chief.”

and, Mike drop. Boom!

The DEMS voted for increased funding for the border wall and historic funding for ICE. Oh yeah, and millions and millions to those aweful silicon valley rich guys to develop something a whole lot more sophisticated than 11,000 sensors and a handful of drones. All of which peel away at the socialist platform. Not to mention the ‘open borders’ community.
Silly Rabbits.
