I get your point. My point is this two tier justice system sucks. It has always sucked and will always suck. The connect and rich will always either beat the justice system or get a drastically lower punishment than the average joe on the street.
Forget national health care. Make all the lawyers work for a set fee paid by the state so everyone gets equal representation. That’s about the only thing that ‘might’ start making an even playing field.
It’ll never happen because the lawyers own the system.
As per Henry the VI Act IV, Scene 2: First thing we do, lets kill all the lawyers.
