The biggest takeaway is if there is anyone in the Capitol willing to address this attempted coup and do the right thing to bring the perpetrators to justice. If not then it becomes nothing less than the latest precedent of how politics is played in America and that our long tradition of peaceful transfer of power after elections is now on a par with banana republics. This is why the founders insisted on the Second Amendment.
