The ex-legislator debunked the charges after Fox News asked him about remarks by a Guatemalan government official speaking at the National Press Club on Tuesday who named Fuentes as being the pivotal character in the organization of the tens of thousands of Central Americans and Mexicans who have joined the caravans.
Mario Duarte, Guatemalas head of intelligence, called Fuentes a key coordinator of the caravan, according to published reports. It was the most recent public accusation of Fuentes, a former Honduran lawmaker, of being an organizer of the caravans.

Denial and debunkal are two different things.
LOL...”Debunkal”.
That is my point...they ARE different things, and in reading the article...he denied it.
He did NOT “debunk” it...you would think a journalist would know the difference.
Same type of thing with the words refute and dispute.
There you have it; dindonuffin.
We seldom hear any reports of who the heck keeps organizing these caravans? Somebody is organizing them. The media gloss over this aspect of things, make it sound as if the tired poor huddled masses of Central America spontaneously just start walking. I seriously doubt that is how these caravans develop.
Fuentes’ wife is Dunia Montoya, an immigration rights activist.
