I don’t know about Dianne Feinstein’s husband’s dealings, nothing would surprise me... but there is a fair enough degree of likelihood that Newsome will get to appoint her successor. She is 86 years old and just won another term. Does anyone think she can sit another 6 years in the Senate? And if she can make it to 92, Newsome will likely be in his 2nd term and could run for the seat himself; assuming she completes the term.

So he owes her no fealty at this point. He’s probably/possibly gonna replace her at some point.

In fact, being CA, I think he could even appoint himself to her seat (?)

I voted for Cox, hoping he would get to appoint Fstains seat. I voted for Fstain because the other jerkoff was way lefty lefty coo coo... and there might have been a snowflakes chance in hades the Cox would win. Well that didn’t happen.... but soon Gavin will get to appoint whoever, maybe himself.... Im not up on the laws here in CA about a senator stepping down... I hate living here. Its only getting worse. Here we are, going to spend 3 billion to not give it back to trump... (it aint trumps money) and Im like thinking ok good at least we (CA) arent spending 80 billion or whatever on this boondoggle.. I donno it reminds me of some casino game.... play $30 to save / win back your $10..... lol I’m sorry for ramblin...
