That’s my point. Obama thinks he’s the standout in the unusual names department. He thinks every president was a George, John, James, or Richard, or some such. If “weird” names deterred voters, some of our greatest would never have been.
So true; he had to make light of his name because people would understand all too clearly they were putting a Muslim in the White House if he didn’t.
