I’m actually puzzled, the decriminalization of everything has been wreaking havoc in the rural area where I live, I can not imagine how much of an impact it’s had in major urban areas, yet shockingly, I’ve heard virtually nothing about those big city crime waves which I’m sure echoes what’s happening here.
I was thinking particularly of LA’s no longer enforcing shoplifting laws. I assume the retailers will jack up prices to cover their losses. If it were San Francisco, the supervisors would then force retailers to drop their prices back down. Maybe LA will.
