A week ago, this guy was part of Joy Reid’s pack calling on Northam to walk the plank. Now that doing so could lead to a Republican becoming governor, he’s changed his tune, advising Dems to “back off” any resignation talk. And he doesn’t even have the integrity to acknowledge his fast about-face.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
It’s not the Republicans who are leading the charge3 here, Jason... we’d love it if all the racists and sex offenders stay in VA. Makes it a soft target.
To thwart the commies and Nazis, they need to back off the Trump “impeachment” talk too.
These people really aren't very smart. Their virtual reality hold over the MSM is making them feel OK being more open about it though, so that's progress of a sort.
CALLED IT.....
Virginia is just to important to Democrats for 2020 to allow Repubs to take control of it over this, therefore racism absolution waivers can be granted.
Are these also okay if the person is a Democrat leader and a Republican is next in line?
If you're a Democrat with a Republican behind you, you now have carte blanche to do whatever you want?

Wouldn’t it be smart for the Dems to clean house now and hope the voters don’t clean house for them in November?
Ha hahaahahaaa. Now, Dems can do WHATEVER they want because removing them would put in a hated Republican. Pass the popcorn.
Yes, please don’t resign! It’ll give the GOP a big club to swing in 2020 .... if they can come up the the testicular fortitude to swing it.
Democrats, thy name is hypocrisy.
There it, folks. Dems have given themselves a permanent pass to abuse and malfeasance because to punish themselves for it would be to give an advantage to political opponents.
So were back to what we already knew. Laws and ethical behavior are for the Little People.

I’ve said from the beginning that this guy should stay in office for two reasons.
1. If he gets kicked out for a goofy yearbook photo from 40 years ago that opens the door for the dems to do it to every Republican who ever runs for office. We all have done stupid stuff in the past that was probably acceptable at the time.
2. This greatly weakens the governor and will help the Republicans in the future.
Racism and sexual assault absolution waivers, most likely.
So ethical standards take a second place to political power for the Dems? We already knew that, but it is refreshing to have them admit it openly.
Situational ethics in stark relief.
Well said!
When the story broke, I said Northam had “Democrat Privilege” and probably wouldn’t resign. That’s just how the double standard works these days.
Reverse ferret!
Reverse ferret is a phrase used predominantly within the British media to describe a sudden reversal in an organisation's editorial line on a certain issue. Generally, this will involve no acknowledgement of the previous position.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_ferret
The term originates from Kelvin MacKenzie's time at The Sun. His preferred description of the role of journalists when it came to public figures was to "stick a ferret up their trousers". This meant making their lives uncomfortable, and was based on the supposed northern stunt of ferret-legging (where contestants compete to show who can endure a live ferret within their sealed trousers the longest). However, when it became clear that the tide of public opinion had turned against the paper's line, MacKenzie would burst from his office shouting "Reverse ferret!"
