There was a book made from the original movie. That line was included in the book. Always wondered why they cut it. My friends and I saw Blazing Saddles bunches of times in the theater. Once I even snuck an old style cassette recorder into the theater and taped it (this was before the days of video recording). Wore that tape out listening over and over. Years later, they were showing the uncut movie on one of the premium movie channels. My oldest daughter was probably around 14. Unbeknownst to us, she was watching from the 2nd floor balcony. When they got to the scene where Bart was riding into town, she couldn't contain herself any longer. She cried out "Daddy! They can't SAY that!" Wouldn't watch anymore.
>>>You missed it because you were in the office, didn’t you?<<<
The comma is unnecessary to the sentence structure of your question.
Just sayin’...

He was one of the writers. Brooks wanted to cast Pryor as Bart but the studio would not let him so they got Little.
Pryor did not turn down the role of Bart, the studio would not let Brooks cast him.
“Could you repeat that, sir?”
They were too busy stampeding cattle through the Vatican.
“Cant imagine any black men who would be offended by schnitzengruben.”
Garrett Morris later said “That’s racist!! Mine’s only two inches!”
I taped my original Blazing Saddles off HBO in 1992. Still have my VCR. Campfire scene & all.
That's too bad ... she didn't "get" the satire aspect and missed a good movie.
There is a lot of very subtle gags and puns in that flick.
Mel Brooks really thought it through.
