They knew Platt and Matix had semi autos. And the agents today are of far lower quality. You overestimate the ability of a platoon of men to take on a barricaded gunman who is prepared for them. They would likely get him, but he could easily make it a day they remember grimly.
There are uncountable dead SEALS, SF including Delta, Rangers and Marines who have been lost going up against a lower quality who is opponent with a rifle. The FBI is a low end bunch and this is clearly shown in the video.
If Roger was a menace, and had an AR, they were a out in front of his house, wandering around and ripe for an ambush.

THIS. The very fact that Roger’s -security cam- could see them as they prepped meant they were bottom barrel. He HAD a surveillance system, and it had them the entire time. If that was a cartel house, they would have got a different reception.

If anybody believes that Mueller’s people did not inform CNN of the raid on Roger Stone, I feel sorry for them because they are slow. Just watch the film. But I did not need the film to let me know CNN was informed of the raid.
