True - it makes no difference to them what normal sane folks think - I’m just saying that we waste our energy when our emotions are allowed to let us actually “hate/detest” etc...like letting them live in our heads rent free.
Pragmatism keeps the bile and ulcers in check as we work to undo what they stand for....while our instincts cry out against what they stand for, we can still enjoy the living - and the hope that a President like Trump offers.
Kind of like “hate” the sin, love the sinner - as unlovable as they may be...I do it out of elf defense because as I get older I don’t want to waste a moment with unnecessary bad feeling...even when I get on others’ cases for some thing, I manage not to suffer angst/fear/worry, etc....mainly because I know that while I have different viewpoints and opinions, when it comes to God’s world, I ain’t much different than most of even the lowest of low lifes...I just manage to get one or two things a bit righter than them even as I live my imperfect existence.
There, I feel better now....;-)
Kind of my thoughts too. Maybe a little pity tossed in for them being less “right”. Pretty tolerant for a lot of things, others I stay away from when possible.
