If I’m reading this correctly, it wasn’t a vote at all, but a request for unanimous consent. If so, McConnell could have brought it up for a vote and Murray’s “objection” wouldn’t mean shit. In other words, McConnell didn’t want to expose his “friends” across the aisle (and a few Republicans?) for the villainous bastards they are.
