Too much money to be made by grifters to stop this ‘war’.
Just follow the bucks. War is a customer.
Congressional leaders need to keep their supply of opium intact, else they take a huge pay cut. . . .
Think of it as a $30+b subsidy to NYC to keep it from getting attacked as it was on 9/11. Should flyover country care about keeping NYC safe? It would be a lot cheaper to just leave Afghanistan and write a check for $100b to NYC when it does get bushwhacked again. Heck, add $3b a year to ICE’s budget so they have the resources to go after suspicious individuals and visa overstays like the ones who carried out 9/11.
I have advocated sending in teams to take out the leaders and stir things up to get them fighting among themselves and pull out. Then if a sect starts to get too powerful, knock them back down.
As long as they are focused on internal war they will not have time to export terror.
Quite frankly, if NYC suddenly sunk into the Atlantic, taking all souls with it, I would not shed a single tear.
Nuke them and be done with it.
Just bring the troops home and let Afghans be Afghans.
Send the 68 aye voters to Afghanistan to explain to the soldiers, etc., their reasoning to continue the conflict.
On our way out we should torch the opium fields.
Disgusting self-exposure by the Congressional lackeys for their global, war-mongering donor-owners.
That was why Nancy was going to Afghanistan. to check on her potential profits...
Whuddathunkit? Sen. Cruz and Sen. Harris cast the same vote (”No”) on RINOMcConnell’s amendment!
They may fund the military, but they don’t command anyone. They can’t do a thing.
Do any of them have kids who have deployed? I doubt it.
Pathetic.
I understand Congress can defund a war effort by the CIC, but seems like forcing a CIC to remain in combat would violate separation of powers....if any of that still exists.
How about we make it so the only way Afghans are spoken of is in the past tense.

If Saddam hadn’t tried to kill Bush’s daddy,
would we have ended up in Afghanistan anyway?
