Yes, Bannon is wrong...along with the other Republicans praising AOC. There’s nothing to worship here -— just look at any high school in America and you will find plenty of kids who won’t back down from shouting their uniformed opinions from the rooftops. I’ve been teaching high schoolers for 20+ years and have five children of my own who are either in high school or were recently, and AOC reminds me of them at their worst. The essence of growing up is NOT having the so-called courage to rudely scream every thought and desire that comes into your head (that’s what babies do), but to listen, learn, and then humbly act on the courage of convictions that have been established through years of experience. Young people can still be good leaders, but they must be wise and mature enough to go slow and take wise counsel from those who know more than they do. When I think of AOC running around the Senate building trying to find Mitch McConnell so she can give him a piece of her mind, or even her mouthing off at Nancy Pelosi, I just shake my head. AOC is not admirable, she insufferable!
